Old site

The old PBARC Web site was located at the Web address http://pelicanbayarc.com. It is no longer used as the club's main site, as it has been replaced by the PBARC Wiki (this Web site), but almost all of its content is still available, and most links to it should still work.

Many old minutes and three Sparks newsletters were on the old site and have been uploaded here.

Technical details

The old site was powered by WordPress and hosted on GoDaddy. This hosting plan has been cancelled; the site is now served by a static mirror is now hosted on the same server as this site, the PBARC Wiki. This is only a "snapshot" of the site's content shortly before it was shut down; the WordPress software is no longer running, so the content cannot be readily edited. Any updates will be posted here, not on the old site.

The decision to replace the old site with a static mirror was made at the May 2023 meeting. The archive was created on an alternate domain sometime around then, and the transfer was finally completed with the pointing of the original domain to this server in August 2025, after a period when the old site was only accessible through an alternate URL.

URLs of pages in the archive do not match those on the original site, because many of the URLs were distinguished only by query parameters, which cannot be used with static files, but redirect rules are in place so that old links still work. The primary domain of the archive is https://old.w7bkg.org, but the original domain redirects to that one.
